Changes to 2022

COVID-19 has brought to light some very serious issues within the medical insurance world. As a result, there are many changes to expect in the coming year. For one, when you need care, you won't get a surprise bill, if you do you can discuss it with the institution that you received care at. Check out the new NSA mandate on our NSA requirements page.

There are also some things to expect, the copay waiver for your insurance may be coming to an end. At The Mental Mediator we will always let you know when this happens. We try to do so with notice, but your insurance company may "forget" to tell us.

Some Insurance companies will require a certain telehealth service to use. As this is extremely costly and we try to keep our costs affordable, we will only be using Valant to perform telehealth, which may result in you experiencing the need to pay your copay or cost share.

Your insurance rates are most likely going to increase. Unfortunately, things are not free, and the last 2 years the insurance companies have lost a lot of money, they are making it harder for you the consumer and us the providers. We will work with you on navigating this process.

2022 is bringing on a lot of change, and hopefully it will be for the benefit of all.

Please be patient with us as we also navigate the varying rules and the daily changes of the insurance world.
