Tracy earned a B.A. in Art from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York and an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. For many years, she has owned an art business, where she works with toddlers, children, teens, and adults. Tracy believes art is a valuable form of expression, essential in stimulating positive energy throughout the brain, improving communication skills, and building self-esteem.

Tracy’s areas of expertise lie in various types of therapies and holistic strategies that work well with both adolescent and adult clients. Some include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and strategies using Mindfulness, Meditation and Art.

Tracy also has experience working within an addiction setting where clients have co-occurring disorders. Within this setting, she gained experience with adolescents struggling with sexual orientation, gender identity disorder (GID), and transitioning transgenders. Counseling clients who are adjusting and adapting to the various processes and stages encompassing addiction along with working in such a diverse environment sparked her passion for changing the national issue of addiction currently affecting youth in society.

Knowing the importance of self-esteem at a young age, Tracy believes that early mental health intervention can deter and prevent addiction from occurring and destroying young lives. Seeing firsthand the ongoing epidemic of children, teens, and adults using Opioids and other Designer Drugs as a way of coping with mental health issues, PTSD, GID, and normal life stressors, Tracy is determined and inspired to make a difference within society.

After forming a positive therapeutic relationship with a client, Tracy tailors approaches and techniques towards each client's unique qualities. Two of her most important values as a counselor are confidentiality and trust, ensuring that each client feels safe, understood, and validated. Throughout the therapeutic relationship, She is self-assured and determined that together they will find coping mechanisms and strategies to overcome specific difficulties or life’s struggles. Tracy is extremely optimistic that anyone can re-channel negative energy and overcome their mental health issues.

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - C.S. Lewis
