He earned his medical degree in Internal Medicine from Rutgers University Medical School in 1999 and completed his residency at Yale University Medical Center in 2002.
 
A decorated Lieutenant Colonel Chief Medical Officer/Flight Surgeon and Army Ranger in the United States Army, Dr. Lajewski served with distinction through 4 combat deployments before being honorably discharged in 2013 having attained the distinction of Army Ranger. His military service reflects his leadership, resilience, and deep commitment to patient care under the most challenging conditions.
