MA CADC, Intern Counselor
Feeling as if your stuck in a cycle of forever anxiousness can become so overwhelming and often times, we struggle to find our way out and lose ourselves even more. The first step in saying I need help is the most empowering step any of us can take. After that first step, the first day of the rest of your life begins. My name is Kim and I have been a substance abuse counselor for nine years. I have worked in many modalities including therapeutic communities and intensive outpatient/co-occurring. I’ve worked with chronically mentally ill performing outreach teaching activities of daily living. I was a facilitator for children who were grieving the loss of family members through deployment, death, or divorce. I’ve worked in assessment centers where I was responsible for educating clients on the profound effect our emotions have over our thoughts and how they essentially effect our behaviors. I’m comfortable working with any age range and look forward to learning together how to focus on your goals and following your journey to greatness.
